We have ADR at O'hana on a day we are planning to be in Epcot. I think the best way to get there is by monorail, but does anyone know about how long the commute is? I want to allow plenty of time to arrive as we've never been to the Polynesian before.

You'd think that the monorail would be the quickest and easiest way to get to 'Ohana from Epcot.  It's not though.  If you go via monorail you'll have to switch monorails at the Ticket and Transportation Center.  The whole process would take you about 35-40 minutes.  You're actually better off exiting Epcot and taking a bus over to the Polynesian for your dinner.  That trip will take only about half the time: twenty minutes or so.

You're thinking along the right lines in arriving early to explore the resort a bit.  It is a gorgeous place that exudes tropical relaxation.  My family is sure to stop there for a meal during every visit.

    Have fun and Aloha!

I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists.
