Hi Marjory, welcome to planDisney!
Country roads take my husband back to West Virginia. They take me back to the place I belong - Walt Disney World Resort! I'm so excited you'll get to experience
The World's Most Magical Celebration this September. Adding an
Enchanting Extras Collection experience like
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween party to your itinerary will make this an epic celebration for you and your traveling party.
Guests attending Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween party can enter Magic Kingdom park as early as 4:00 p.m., though the party's official start time is 7:00 p.m.
Advance dining reservations for table service restaurants in Magic Kingdom park can be made, though I recommend booking no earlier than 4:30 p.m. and no later than 5:30 p.m. No earlier than 4:30 p.m. because you'll need time to check-in at park entry to receive your party wristband, event map, etc. No later than 5:30 p.m. because you don't want to miss a minute of the party magic.
To offer an alternate solution, I highly recommend making a lunch reservation at
Steakhouse 71 at Disney's Contemporary Resort or the
Grand Floridian Cafe at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. These resorts are walking distance to Magic Kingdom park, which means you can enjoy a leisurely meal and reserve your pre-party Magic Kingdom hours for experiencing attractions that will not be open during the party. The gourmet grilled cheese at Steakhouse 71 is Decadent with a capital "D" and the Buttermilk-fried Chicken and Waffle at the Grand Floridian Cafe is my husband's go-to while I'm enjoying Brioche French Toast.
Calories don't count at Disney, so be sure to save room for some party-exclusive treats. I'd stay clear of the
Sanderson Sister's Hocus Pocus Party Potion, though. Disney villains are not the most trustworthy chefs.
Thanks for making planDisney part of your planning team. Please
reach out with any other questions about your upcoming visit.
Let's go mountaineers!
