ADR @ 8:20 am @ Crystal Palace on Christmas Eve. Staying @ WDW Hilton @ Downtown Disney. Their 1st shuttle bus leaves @ 7 am, but we will have our car or could get a taxi. Transport & timing advice for making our MK ADR on time w/3 adults & a todd

Hi Margaret! Your toddler is going to adore a Christmas Eve breakfast with Pooh and friends at Crystal Palace! (The adults will love it too because the food on the buffet there is really good!)

You're smart to be thinking about your transportation options in advance since Christmas Eve is a day of peak attendance at Disney World. Although I have stayed at the Downtown Disney Hilton, I didn't use their shuttle to the parks. My understanding, however, is that the hotel shares its shuttle with the other Downtown Disney hotels and the bus may stop at several parks. Although Downtown Disney isn't more than 15 or 20 minutes away from the Magic Kingdom, the trip could take much, much longer if the shuttle makes multiple stops. On top of that, the shuttle will drop you off at the Transportation and Ticket Center and you'll then have to take a monorail to the Magic Kingdom, proceed through the bag check and turnstiles, and walk to Crystal Palace on a very crowded day. For this reason, if you want to take the hotel shuttle, you'll definitely want to be on the earliest one.

If you don't mind paying for a cab, I think that would be the quickest and most hassle-free option. Grab a taxi at the Hilton and ask it to take you to the Contemporary, and then just walk over to the Magic Kingdom. I was at Walt Disney World with some fellow Moms this weekend, and we did this very thing and it really worked well to get us to the Magic Kingdom quickly. (In fact, we took cabs several times because a few of the Dads on the Panel are a tad impatient, and the cost generally was $15 or less.) If you left the Hilton by cab at 7:20 a.m., you should be at Crystal Palace right on time.

Hope you have the happiest of holidays at Disney World!
