    We have ADR for Chef Mickeys at 10:25 (earliest avail). Does it make sense to go to MK for opening? What time would we need to leave MK for Chef Mickeys? Also, what time should we leave POR to get to MK for opening (driving our own car)? THANK YOU!!

         My son and I love Chef Mickey's for breakfast!  It actually makes perfect sense to go to the Magic Kingdom for park opening and then leave the magic Kingdom for your breakfast at Chef Mickey's!  If you Advanced Dining Reservation at Chef Mickey's is for 10:25 am, then I would recommend leaving the Magic Kingdom between 10:00 am and 10:05 am.  The Contemporary Resort where Chef Mickey's is located is only a short Monorail ride away from the Magic Kingdom, in fact it is the very next stop from the Magic Kingdom.  When your breakfast is finished, you can hop back on the Resort Monorail to go back to the Magic Kingdom for the rest of the day.

         I would recommend leaving Port Orleans at least 30 to 45 minutes before the Magic Kingdom is scheduled to open on that particular day because you will have to park your car at the Ticket and Transportation Center and take a Monorail or Ferry Boat over to the Magic Kingdom gates which can take a little bit of time.
