Have ADR at Chef Mickey at 9:10 and BBB at 12:40 for DD9 on Thanksgiving Day so she can look special before dinner at 1900 Park Fare. I know it is busy on that day. Should I be concerned about park closure before we are able to enter the MK?

    Hi Kevin!

Well, Thanksgiving Day is a really busy day at the Magic Kingdom.  It's projected to be a crowd level of 10 out of a possible 10, and in past Thanksgivings, they have had to close it due to reaching capacity.

There is really no way to know if that will happen this year, and if so, what time it will happen. Traditionally, on days when capacity is reached, it happens around lunch time.

If your plans are flexible and it would be possible to go back to the Magic Kingdom later on in your visit, then you could give it a shot.     If that will be the only day possible to go to this park, and your daughter would be devastated to not visit it, then you may reconsider your plans.

I wish I could tell you for sure whether it will be closed or not, but you really just won't know until that day.

Please let me know if you have any other questions!
