I have an ADR for 2 at CG during Wishes! I also have an ADR for our whole party of 4 at the same time at 'Ohana. Should I go to 'Ohana & also be able to enjoy a breakfast (maybe CM?) since CG is 2 credits? Or keep CG as a dinner for just me and SO? Tha

    Hi Luz,

For me, that's an easy call. I will never, ever turn down a chance to visit California Grill, especially during Wishes! California Grill over the years has consistently been our go-to special occasion restaurant for anniversaries, birthdays and other celebrations, such as reunions with friends.

I've already been there twice since it reopened last month after renovations to the space and the menu. And I can't wait for our next reservation in late November to mark my husband's birthday. During the renovations, the restaurant added another outdoor viewing deck, and I think the view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks is even better than ever from there. The windows are now floor-to-ceiling, offering better views inside as well.

The menu still includes some old favorites, including the Sonoma goat cheese ravioli, the beef filet and a number of sushi rolls from the previous menu. But some of the new items already have made their way onto my "best of" list, especially the Duck in All Its Glory appetizer sampler, the Pork Two Ways and the Heirloom Squash Ravioli.

Save room for dessert. My husband was wowed by the fritters, and I loved the chocolate pudding cake with Nutella filling.

Have I convinced you? I hope so. Don't get me wrong. I like 'Ohana, too, and I don't want to encourage you to abandon your traveling partners. But I would hate for you to miss out on the California Grill experience.

Please let me know if I can answer any more questions for you as you plan your visit or if you need more details about California Grill or other Disney dining venues. I'm happy to do what I can to help.

    Enjoy!
