We have ADR for Cape May at 7:35A Nov 15, & then want to go to MK & then have 7:50P DD birthday ADR at Teppan Edo... what would you suggest as best transport - we will have personal vehicle as option. TIA

    Hi LaTonya,

That sounds like an awesome and delicious day!

We are big fans of the free Disney transportation system and normally use it the entire time we are at Walt Disney World, even though we always have a car.

There is one exception: when we have dining reservations at a resort other than the one where we are staying. The bus system can be cumbersome and time-consuming if you use it to go from resort to resort.

I don't know where you are staying. If you are in an Epcot area resort (Boardwalk, Beach Club, Yacht Club, the Swan or Dolphin), then I would simply walk to the breakfast at Cape May Cafe. Afterward, you can catch the bus from Beach Club to Magic Kingdom. About 6:30, you can leave Magic Kingdom and hop on the monorail to Epcot in time for your dinner.

But if you are in a different resort area, I would recommend driving to the Beach Club, then to Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Or I would take a taxi or Uber to breakfast, then use Disney transportation the rest of the day. We occasionally use a taxi before or after a resort meal and find the fee (usually less than $20) is worth the time savings.

There is early morning bus service for character meals from the resorts, but honestly, I find it a bit stressful to figure out exactly how and when to catch that bus, especially early in the morning. If you want to use that bus, you certainly would want to check in with the front desk on the details the night before and let them know your plans.

I hope that helps you with your transportation plan. Please check back with us if we can answer any other questions for you about your vacation.

    Enjoy,

    Wilma
