Can you make ADR for California Grill and just order dessert and watch the fireworks?

    Hi Gary,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for your question! California Grill is one of my favourite (if not my absolute favourite) restaurant in Walt Disney World.

You can absolutely make a dining reservation for California Grill and only have dessert, if that’s what you would prefer. The only caveats I would give you is that you can’t have another dining reservation within a few hours of your reservation for California Grill (the system won’t let you make two reservations within a certain interval) and, if you’re on the Disney Dining Plan, you’ll have to use two table service dining entitlements, even if you’re only having desert. My advice would be to pay out-of-pocket if you are using the Disney Dining Plan.

One final note: even if you only manage to get a dining reservation earlier on in the evening, don’t worry! Keep your receipt and you can still head back to California Grill to see the fireworks from its observation deck.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
