Have a 5:50 ADR @ Calif Grill and want to do Pirates & Pal Voyage after. Wishes starts @ 9:00, would we have enough time to make it? How long does Pirates Voyage last (total time on boat)? After fireworks do we get to watch water parade from boat too?

    Hi Kelli!

Sounds like you're planning an exciting evening!

The Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage begins an hour and 15 minutes prior to Wishes. You should plan to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to check in. If Wishes begins at 9:00 p.m. on the evening you plan to sail, you should plan to arrive around 7:35 p.m.

Unless you're planning on an extra long meal at CG (drinks, appetizers, main course, dessert, after dinner drinks), I think you should have time to enjoy your dinner and still make it to Pirates and Pals. The land portion often begins on the same level where you take the elevators up to CG but you'll need to check the board in the Contemporary lobby to confirm.

I'd plan on arriving at CG a few minutes early and hopefully you'll be seated right on time. You could also mention to your Waiter that you have another reservation following that one and they may be able to help make sure things go a little faster. I'd also familiarize myself with the menu beforehand so that you have some idea of what you may like to order.

Typically, you are on the boat somewhere between 55 - 60 minutes. However, this can vary a little based on all of the variables they may have to contend with during the voyage. On nights when there are special fireworks presentations at the Magic Kingdom, you could be out on the water for a little longer.

Whether or not you get to watch some or part of the Electrical Water Pageant (EWP) from the boat depends on the schedule of Wishes. If the EWP is nearby, they usually pause for a few minutes for you to watch. Typically, the EWP is near the Contemporary around 10 p.m. (check with the Concierge to confirm). If you don't get to see it from the boat, you are welcome to watch it from the dock at the Contemporary when you return from your voyage. Just don't forget to greet your surprise visitor on the dock.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
