Have ADR for Brown Derby and was thinking of doing Fantasmic package instead. Going on 9/28. This would make ADR much earlier in the day.... 3:30 for dinner. Is it better to do Fantasmic dinning? Are the seats better and less of a wait in line?

    Hi Sara!

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel!

If you book a Fantasmic! Dinner Package, rather than just a regular advance dining reservation, you have the choice of three restaurants at Disney's Hollywood Studios:  The Hollywood Brown Derby (lunch or dinner);  Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano (lunch or dinner) or Hollywood & Vine (dinner packages only).  When you arrive for your meal, you will be given vouchers for Fantasmic!  and it is recommended that you arrive at Hollywood Hills Amphitheater 30 to 45 minutes prior to showtime. You will be shown to your reserved seats.  The entrance for Meal Package seating at Fantasmic! is located on Sunset Boulevard next to Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage.

If you should choose to make a dining reservation, and not a Fantasmic! Dinner Package you are advised to arrive at the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater at least 90 minutes before show time, so the package is a great deal, and costs you no more than the meal itself.

If your dining reservation is early, you can enjoy spending time in the park until it is time to arrive at Fantasmic!   I hope you enjoy the show!

If you have any other questions, please come back and ask me - I would be happy to help you plan your magical vacation!
