We have an ADR at Boma at 7:10pm in late October. Is there somewhere we can see the animals before or after dinner?

    Hi Dawn,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is probably my favourite Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. I love the exotic setting, the peaceful feeling that you get while watching the animals roam in the savanna, and, of course the presence of restaurants like Boma: Flavors of Africa

Although you can’t see the animals while dining at Boma, you can definitely head over to Arusha Rock either before or after your dining reservation in order to watch them roam. There are many vantage points in that central location and, if you’re lucky, some guides may be there to tell you a bit more about the animals you’re seeing. Because you’ll be visiting in late October, if you want to get a chance to chat with the guides, you may want to visit before you eat.

I would recommend heading back after your meal too, especially if night vision goggles are available for you to get a really fun view of the animals! Plus, there is often some african storytelling by the fire (along with some really comfy rocking chairs), so it’s always worth taking a peek at the happenings on Arusha Rock once the sun goes down.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
