Hi Katie, Illuminations: Reflections of Earth at Epcot is a wonderful show of lights. There really aren't fireworks like in the Magic Kingdom, but more low altitude lasers and flames over the World Showcase Lagoon. Your son will still love them! The show times for October 9th, 2012 is at 9:00 pm. You will not miss these with a dinner reservation at 6:00 pm. My family loves eating at the Biergarten in the Germany Pavilion. We have such a fun time there and love the food! I know that your vacation will be just magical in October!
