Hi My ? is about ADR , I am always early for everything and with the ADR system if our reservation is at 5 and we arive at 4:30 will we have to wait til closer to 5 to be seated or will we be given the next available table? Thanks ! you guys are awesome!

    Hi Jeff,
I can't say there isn't a restaurant that might make your family wait. However our family is usually early for everything and we always approach the restaurant's podium and let them know that we have arrived prior to our Advance Dining Reservation time. We ask kindly if we could be seated any earlier if a table is available.

We have been seated early at many restaurants including Whispering Canyon Cafe, 50s Prime Time Cafe, and other non-buffet meals. It seems more difficult to get an earlier seating upon arrival at the character and/or buffet meals. Sometimes a restaurant doesn't start serving until a certain time. For instance arriving Chef Mickey's earlier for dinner will not get you seated any quicker since seating does not begin until 5 p.m. Prior to that time, the restaurant is closed (except for breakfast). Although we usually arrive by 4:45 for a 5:00 p.m. seating so that we are in front of the line and seated among the first guests that evening.

We have arrived early at 50s Prime Time Cafe and been offered either the lunch or dinner menu.

From my experience, most restaurants will be happy to seat you as long as a table is free.

Our family has the "hurry up and wait" routine down to a science, but then sometimes it works out well being early such as when we want to request a table with a view!

    Have fun!
