I have ADR for Akershus @6:50pm, will we have enough time to get seats for 9pm Illuminations? Where do you recommend getting seats? How far away from Akershus is the seating? Thanks so much!!!!

    Hi Kristen,

Akershus is a wonderful spot to enjoy dinner before watching Illuminations at Epcot.  The laser, water and fireworks spectacular takes place on the World Showcase Lagoon.  There is no seating for the performance, rather guests can enjoy the show by standing anywhere along the lagoon with an unobstructed view.  Depending upon park capacity, guests start lining up along the lagoon up to forty-five minutes early, however, you can generally get a great view even a few minutes before the show.  Some of my favorite spots to enjoy Illuminations include the bridge between France and England (I like to exit the park via the International Gateway after the show, which makes this a great spot), the Italy Isola, and the United Kingdom's Lower Terrace to the right of the Rose and Crown restaurant.

You have plenty of time to enjoy your dinner and then grab a fantastic view for the performance.  My ideas are just suggestions.  Just ensure you have a good view of the lagoon, and prepare to be mesmerized!

Have a great day at Epcot!
