We're adopting a baby in Orlando, due Dec. 20. We're flying in on the 17th and want to kill some time (and take our minds off the wait) by doing some fun things around the area before baby arrives. What are some inexpensive things to see and do?

    Hi Laci,

First, let me tell you congratulations on your upcoming adoption!  What a wonderful time for you!  I want you to stop by Guest Relations in Downtown Disney or any of the resorts and ask for your "I'm Celebrating" button so other guests and Cast Members can share this moment with you!  I would suggest a couple of fun things for you to do at Walt Disney World.  I would recommend spending a day at Downtown Disney exploring all the shops and just looking at all the Holiday decorations.  I love being at Downtown Disney especially when I am not pressed for time.  You can even go on the Characters in Flight balloon ride to see the area from a very different point of view.  The next thing I would suggest is visiting the Walt Disney World resorts.  Each one is uniquely decorated for the Christmas Season and is just amazing!  Some of my favorites are the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa (the homemade Gingerbread house will astound you), the Wilderness Lodge, the Polynesian Resort, and the Boardwalk Resort.  Finally, there are two miniature golf courses:  Fantasia Gardens in the Epcot Resort Area and the Winter Summerland golf course near the water parks.  These are fun activities to do while waiting for your addition to your family!  I am so excited for you, Laci!  Please let me know if I can help you further!
