My DS7 has ADHD. He wants to do the pirate cruise at one of the resorts. Im extremely nervous about letting him go. He tends to be easily distracted and has wandered off. Do most parents stick around & are staff trained to deal with special needs kids?

    Hello, Heather!

I can understand your nervousness about allowing your little pirate to experience Disney's Pirate Adventure while on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World. Rest assured, however, that all WDW Cast Members who care for children in the various kids' activities are well-trained to work with children of all ages and with various needs.

If your concern is too much for you to be consoled, though, there's another great family pirate adventure that you might want to try instead. We had a blast on our Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage this past summer, with no worries whatsoever for any of us, even those in our party with special needs.

This cruise affords families unique character photo-ops pre-cruise, in addition to great snacks as well, and hearty entertainment both before and during the voyage. The view of Wishes from Seven Seas Lagoon is spectacular, too; you'll be glad you booked it.

Hope this is helpful! Be sure to send more questions as you think of them. We love to help Guests get the most magic out of each and every stay at Walt Disney World!
