Welcome to planDisney, Martin! I'll be the first to admit that I love shopping at Disneyland Resort, especially at the
Emporium on
Main Street, U.S.A.; I've amassed quite the collection of Mickey Mouse Ear Hats, t-shirts, and mugs over the years! However, my favorite souvenirs are undoubtedly the pictures that capture the memories from our trips, and the best part is they don't take up any room in my suitcase!
Disney's PhotoPass Service is a great way to get some high-quality pictures taken by PhotoPass Photographers throughout the parks (to find the
locations of all the photographers, use the map in the
Disneyland mobile app). There are two ways to get it:
*If you plan to purchase
Disney Genie+ Service during your trip, you'll receive unlimited PhotoPass downloads for the entire day, including Magic Shots, attraction photos, and character dining. This is the easiest way to add it, plus it will save you time waiting in line. If your primary reason to get Genie+ is for the photos, then only one member of your party needs to purchase it.
*Visit the
Disney PhotoPass website to buy Disney PhotoPass+ One Week before your trip. This way, you will get digital downloads of all your Disney PhotoPass photos for 7 consecutive days for one price.
Keep in mind that you have 45 days from the day your photos are taken to view them; there is no way to store your pictures permanently in your PhotoPass account, so be sure to download the images right away. Also, always ask your photographer if they can sprinkle a little magic in your picture. Magic Shots are such fun surprises when they show up in your account; don't miss the new PhotoPass location on the galaxy's outer edges featuring a new magic shot with "The Child."
I hope you have a jolly holiday, Martin! Please feel free to write us back anytime.
