Hi Ryan,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for sending us your question. The monorail is a unique mode of transportation that really does seem like an additional attraction, not just a convenient way to travel throughout Walt Disney World Resort!
Guests visiting Walt Disney World Resort are able to ride
the monorail in order to travel between destinations at no additional cost. The Express Monorail travels between the Transportation and Ticket Center and Magic Kingdom Park. The Epcot Monorail travels between the Transportation and Ticket Center and Epcot, while the Resort Monorail offers service between the Transportation and Ticket Center, Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Magic Kingdom Park. Just make sure that you are taking the appropriate monorail in order to arrive at your destination, all of the monorail lines are clearly marked making it simple to find the proper monorail.
My family loves to take an evening during our stay to explore the Disney Resort Hotels that are on the Resort Monorail Line. We have dinner at one and stop at the others to enjoy dessert and some shopping as well.
I hope you have a magical time at Walt Disney World Resort, Ryan and don't forget: "Please Stand Clear of the Doors!" As always, if you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask, we are always happy to help.
Stephanie
