    have any additional blockout dates for 2018 been released? we have DVC gold AP and are debating a trip over NYE vs March Break - thank you!

    Hi Juanita,

    Like you, I am also a Canadian Disney Vacation Club member, and I would be honored to answer your question regarding Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passes. At this point in time, the only blockout dates for the Disney Gold Pass (available exclusively to Disney Vacation Club members and Florida residents) which have been released for 2017 and 2018 are as follows:

    -January 1-2, 2017;
    -April 8-21, 2017;
    -December 18-31, 2017; and
    -January 1-2, 2018.

    Therefore, if you are debating between a trip over New Year's Eve or March Break of 2018, subject to confirmation of the complete 2018 blockout dates which should be released shortly, I would recommend that you plan for March since the Gold Passes will be blocked out between December 18, 2017 and January 2, 2018 inclusive. Of course if you still wished to travel during the New Year's Eve period, you would have the option of paying to upgrade your Gold Pass to a Platinum Pass.

    Don't forget that as a Disney Gold Passholder you are currently entitled to unlimited Disney PhotoPass downloads. The unlimited Disney PhotoPass Downloads are just one of the many benefits and discounts you will receive for being a Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholder. Especially with a Disney Vacation Club discount, I regard my Gold Pass as one of the best deals around!

    Wishing you a wonderful year of Disney travel with your Gold Pass!
