We are adding a Dining Plan to our room reservations for our Granddaughter, I am wondering since she is 11 can it be added to her room card key? We are staying at 2 different resorts & she has other dining plans with her parents that do not include us

Patricia, the days you spend with your granddaughter eating Mickey ice cream bars, marveling at Cinderella Castle, and flying with Peter Pan will be so special and memorable. The opportunity to be an indulging grandparent at Walt Disney World is SO much better than the typical popcorn-at-a-movie outing.

To qualify for the Disney Dining Plan, all participants must be on the same Magic Your Way package that includes at least one day of park tickets. The number of days of dining you receive is based on the number of nights you stay in a resort. If your granddaughter is staying at a different resort on a separate booking, you will not be able to add her to your dining plan. The fact that she is on her parents' dining plan tells me that your granddaughter is part of their reservation and will not be able to join your DDP.

The guidelines for reservations, packages, and dining plans can sometimes leave you feeling a bit dizzy, as though you just stepped off the teacups on the Mad Tea Party. If you have a special circumstance, such as your granddaughter is staying extra days with you without her parents, or just have additional questions, please contact me for more help.
