I am addicted to the panel - love it. Trip in June going back in Aug w/kids. Planning trip w/out kids in spring - My ??? are: Have any of you ever had concierge service? What exactly does it include? Did you think it was worth the xtra $$?

    Hi Heather,

My family and I will be in WDW next spring break and we are staying on the Concierge Level of the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  We staying last spring and decided it is the best way to visit WDW.

First off, they make all your dining reservations for you before you arrive.  I think this alone is priceless.  You still have to tell them where you would like to go 3+ months in advance.  As soon as they can they make the reservations for you and send you an email with all the details.

The rooms are located near the lounge, which is full of food most times of the day.  It is very quite and relaxing.  While I was there, our family eat breakfast in the lodge every morning.  They had many choices like oatmeal, fresh fruit, bagels, muffins, cereal, yogurt, etc.  Throughout the day they had a make-you-own expresso/cappacino machines.  I made myself vanilla lattes at least twice a day.

Everyday they had slightly different offerings during lunch, dinner, and dessert.  They also put out snack before and after lunch.  Alcoholic drinks were available after about 2pm.  The refrigerator was filled with domestic and foreign beers.  There were also bottles of red and white wine.  During dessert cordials were also available.

Anytime we had a questions about changing a dinner reservation or our room bill we were able to ask the castmember working in the concierge lodge.  It was very convenient.

The food in the lounge does not make up for the additional cost.  It would definitely be cheaper to stay in a regular room and just eat your meals out.  Your basically paying for the experience and the convenience.

Enjoy your trip.  I'm sure it will be magical with or without the concierge service.
