I added tickets to the reservation system under the names of my family but need to change them as they can no loger attend. Do I need to call and have a cast member change the names? What if I do not know ahead of time who I will come w me?

Hiya, Tereza! Thanks for stopping by planDisney and asking your question!

I'm sorry to hear that your family isn't able to join you at the parks for your upcoming trip. You'll be glad to know, though, that theme park tickets aren't officially assigned to an individual until they are scanned at the park gates and a Cast Member takes their photo. From then on, the ticket will be linked to that person and must be used by that same person for the remainder of the trip. So, there is no need to change the names on your tickets or to know who will be joining you ahead of time.

Once you decide who will be going with you to the parks, it's probably a good idea for that person to link their ticket to their own Disneyland app. This will allow them to enter and exit the parks on their own and could be helpful if you both will be trying to join the virtual queues for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance or WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure.

Finally, since I see that you will be visiting in December, you'll definitely want to read up on the new Disney Genie and Disney Genie+ services that will be debuting soon. Disney Genie is a complimentary digital feature in the Disneyland app that will create park-touring strategies based on your interests. Disney Genie+ will work similarly to how Disney MaxPass worked in the past by allowing you to skip most of the wait at select attractions by using the Lightning Lane.

I hope this helps. Have a great time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
