Hey there, Micheline! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad that you've stopped by with your vacation planning question. I always love chatting with a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member!
In about one month, you'll be arriving at The Most Magical Place on Earth, ready to begin your next magical adventure! And in a
Disney Vacation Club Two-Bedroom Villa with family and friends?! You are surely in for the BEST time, so, I am SO excited for you, Micheline! My family and I have a huge collection of MagicBands, and I love to choose the day's MagicBand based on the theme park and my outfit. Purchasing adorable new MagicBands is part of the planning fun, so, I am thrilled to answer your question today.
Since your trip is more than 11 days away, you are well within the MagicBand customization deadline and should be able to purchase MagicBands for your newest, littlest Guests and have them shipped to your home. I have had a similar issue in the past, and when I called a Cast Member for My Disney Experience tech support, I was told that sometimes, My Disney Experience accounts can take several hours to fully load updates and modifications on reservations. So, after waiting some time and logging out and back in, if you are still having issues, let's chat about some options.
First, make sure that the names on the DVC reservation are typed in exactly as they should appear on My Disney Experience. Then, log in to your
My Disney Experience account to check if you can see the children's names (and their coordinating Disney character avatar, if they have one) under your DVC Resort reservation under "My Plans, Reservations, and Tickets," and that they are linked properly to the Resort reservation, their tickets, and on your
Family & Friends list. If they have been included in plans for Walt Disney World Resort in the past, they are under 13 years of age, and someone else has been managing their plans, you may need to send an invitation to the manager of their plans to link them to your Family & Friends list. If you see the correct Guests and Disney character avatars under your Resort reservation but not under "
My MagicBands and Cards," this could be a technical issue. My tech-savvy pal and fellow planDisney panelist,
Andrew always recommends clearing your cache if you are ever having any website technical issues. If you don't know how to do this, a quick internet search should provide you with step-by-step instructions.
If everyone is linked properly, you have cleared your cache, and you are still not able to make MagicBand selections for the kiddos, I'd suggest
contacting DVC Member Services to assist you. When I had an issue similar to this, it was because my Guests' names were not properly linked to the appropriate accounts. For help, I used the chat feature on the DVC website, and the oh-so-helpful Cast Member was able to access My Disney Experience account and fix the issue in no time!
Once this problem is resolved, if the kiddos don't see a MagicBand that they love, you can check
shopDisney for additional options! Once it arrives at your home, just follow the instructions to link it. Then, they will be all set for a practically perfect Disney vacation!
Micheline, I hope that this was helpful, and I hope that you and your crew have THE most magical upcoming vacation! Stop by any time with any planning or DVC questions.
I hope to see ya real soon,
Mandy
