Welcome to planDisney, Kirsty. Thanks for reaching out to us. We're always happy to help you add some magic to your next vacation!
If you'd like to be added to a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel room reservation that is part of a vacation package, the lead Guest on the reservation can make this change through
My Disney Experience or by
calling a friendly Cast Member at the resort. Please note that they would not be able to add you if doing so goes over the capacity limit of the room. Furthermore, all Guests in the room must be included in the vacation package, which means that you'd have to have the same theme park tickets and dining plan (if there is one attached to the package).
For your friend to add you through the website, they'd simply need to log into their MyDisney Account to access My Disney Experience and select "My Plans" from the My Disney Experience dropdown menu. Then, they would scroll down, find the reservation, and click on the "Change Reservation" button. On this page, they will see a few items that they can modify, one of which is the travel party. They would select that option and follow the prompts to complete the process. Please note that this will increase the cost of the vacation package.
Now that we've gotten that out of the way, let me just pump you up a bit about this summer at the
Walt Disney World Resort. Do you want to
go down the bayou? You might be able to do so since
Tiana's Bayou Adventure will be opening this summer. Do you want to sing along with some fun-loving bears? There's a chance that the
Country Bear Musical Jamboree will be open when you're there. Do you want to sing along with songs from Disney's
Encanto?
There's a brand-new stage show coming to EPCOT where you can do just that. And do you want to see some amazing drones light up the sky? Well,
Disney Springs will have you covered this summer! Just follow along with the
Disney Parks Blog for any news and updates about specific opening dates and maybe even more surprises to come!
Kirsty,
reach out if you have any other questions!
A dream is a wish your heart makes,
Matt
