To be added to a reservation does the person that made the reservation need to do it themselves?

    Hello there, Maria!

Like Princess Tiana, your vacation is almost there! I’m glad you are working on your advanced dining reservations because eating at the Walt Disney World Resort is my favorite pastime.

Whoever makes the advanced dining reservation manages the reservation for that party. In order for them to add your name to the reservation and to see the plans show up in your My Disney Experience account, you’ll need to add each other to your “Family & Friends” list. Once you’re on the “Family & Friends” list page, press the plus sign at the bottom. You can add them through your connected Guests, add them from a Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation, or enter their name and age. Alternatively, if you are sitting next to each other, you can scan a linking code on the My Disney Experience app on your mobile device to automatically link them to your list.

The person who made the dining reservation can add you by going to “My Plans” and scrolling down to the dining reservation. On the right side of the screen, they can press “Update Guests” to select the members of the dining party, and you should see the plans show up in your account.

Thank you for putting my planDisney service to the test. I hope you’ll come back again and “be our guest.” Let me know if you need anything else.

May the magic be with you!

Hello there! I'm Melanie - a Walt Disney World Resort-loving Jersey girl living in Maryland with my Jedi Brewmaster husband and Bluey lookalike dog. Before I was even born, I grew up taking multigenerational vacations with my family at Disney's Beach Club Resort. The Disney force has grown stronger in my family since we took an adults-only voyage aboard Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. Whether you want to feel like a Disney Princess or a Jedi-in-training, I can't wait to help you plan a harmonious vacation. Learn More About Melanie
