Hi Joel,
Welcome to planDisney!
Like you, I continue to watch flight prices after a trip is booked, so I understand this dilemma. It sounds like you may have booked with a third party vendor or a travel agent. If so, you will need to check with that vendor or travel agent to see if they can make changes at this point. If there are any fees to change the flight, those fees may cancel out any savings on the price for the flight. We also consider the value of time when making transportation decisions. So, we always fly into Orlando International airport. The sooner we can get to the parks, the better!
When considering our flight options, I also consider what might happen with travel delays. So, consider which airport would offer the most possible alternate flight options should there be a flight delay or cancellation for any reason. I will also say to check the flight change policies for the airline with whom you have booked. One of the airlines we use has a flexible change policy with no change fees.
Once you get the flight and rental car changes finalized, be sure to take a look at your additional plans. I hope you have identified
dining locations that you want to visit, reviewed
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering, and considered a visit to
Disney Springs. My family loves catching a movie at the
AMC® Disney Springs 24 Dine-In Theaters. It truly is a relaxing and fun experience!
Joel, start making those calls and getting your travel plans solidified. Your trip is quickly approaching! I will reiterate, time is critical. As you make your decisions, remember that you want to maximize your time on vacation. For my family, we want to maximize our time in the theme parks. So, consider your options carefully! Final tip - check out the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival during your visit. The topiary displays are stunning!
Sending a little extra pixie dust hoping your plans are finalized soon!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
