I added genie plus to my tickets when I bought them, do I need to add them to the app? How and when can I do that? I have read that some people couldn’t add until 7am that day, is that still the case?

    Greetings, Tara!

Welcome to planDisney! I am so glad that you found us and brought your question to us here at planDisney. I would be happy to help you put the finishing touches on your vacation plans. You will be able to join in the 50th Anniversary Celebration and you do not want to miss out on any of the fun. Be on the lookout for Disney’s Fab 50 Character Collection! You will find 50 golden statues in all 4 theme parks paying tribute to your favorite and most loved Disney Characters.

Tara, if you have already added the Genie+ option to your theme park tickets, it will appear in your My Disney Experience mobile app on the day you plan to use it. You can begin to make your first Genie+ selections at 7:00 AM. If you are traveling with any Guests who have not added this option to their tickets, they can modify their ticket now in the mobile app to add it.

Some Guests have ticket types that will not allow them to add Genie+ to their tickets in advance. They cannot add it until the morning they plan to use Genie+. Disney Annual Passholders can only add Genie+ to their ticket on the day they plan to use it. However, I would not recommend waiting until 7:00 AM to add this service because it will cause a delay in making selections. If someone in your party needs to add Genie+ to their ticket, I suggest adding it no later than 6:30 AM, this will give plenty of time to add the service and be ready to make their first Genie+ selections.

All Guests planning to use Disney Genie+ will need to have a valid theme park ticket and a Disney Park Pass reservation. If you are planning to use the Park Hopper Option, you will need to have a reservation for the first park you plan to visit. If you do not have a reservation, a Genie+ selection will not guarantee your admission.

I hope this helps with your planning and if you have any more questions before you arrive, please come back and visit us again.

    See ya real soon,
    Andrea
