Hello moms! Just added a 4 day cruise (1st time) on Magic to our Disney trip next May. Will there be any character meals on board and how do I reserve one? If not will there be other opportunities to meet characters? Travelling with DH, DS6, DS2! You rock!

    Oh, gawrsh, Allison!

You really know how to make the Disney Moms Panel feel special, but it really is a pleasure to answer guests' questions.  For me, it's particularly rewarding to help those sea-faring Disney guests!

There are character breakfasts on Disney cruises which are seven nights or longer.  However, for your cruise, there will be so many character encounter opportunities that you better get your autograph book and camera ready!  In fact, I always tell young families that Disney Cruise Line gives you unprecedented access to the characters. It's not uncommon to see characters out on deck, in the atrium lobby, outside theaters and in the kids' clubs.  Of course, they also star in the deck parties and the stage shows, too. Once you're on board, check your daily Personal Navigator for exact times and places for characters, or you can dial 7-PALS from your wave phone or stateroom phone.

For future reference -- because you'll want to book a future cruise when you are on board next May -- you don't have to make reservations for character meals on a Disney cruise.  You are assigned a restaurant and table, and all you have to do is show up and have fun!  (It truly was one of the highlights of our family's recent voyage.)

All the best to you and yours as you sail with Disney.  Please let me know if I can help you any further.  Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
