I added a credit card on MDE for online check-in. After charging food and miscellaneous expenses to the room, am I able to pay my balance with a different payment method than what’s on file at the hotel?

    Hi Lorianne,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your magical vacation is less than a month away! I think December is an especially magical time to visit Walt Disney World Resort

I have good news for you. You can use a different payment method to pay your balance at your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. If you'd like to leave your current card on your account, you can simply stop by the Front Desk every day or so to pay off your balance. Check with your resort to find out when they charge your balance to your payment method to make sure your other card isn't inadvertently charged. Of course, if you owe a balance at check-in, you can change your payment method at that point.

I tend to receive Disney Gift Cards from my family for birthdays and special occasions. I like to stop by the Front Desk when we return to our resort in the evenings, review our charges, and pay for them with Gift Cards.

Lorianne, thank you for stopping by with your question. I hope you'll let us know if we can help you with any other planning questions.
    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Amy H.
