Hi! I've added our will call tickets in MDE (Can resident). If we link the tickets to magic bands through MDE, do we still need to pick up physical tickets at a ticket center (i.e. p/u in person in order to show ID and have them activated?)

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great question, Ahlia!

You do not have to pick up physical tickets if you already have MagicBands from previous visits. Be sure they are still active on My Disney Experience and that each admission ticket has been properly linked to each Guest in order to go straight to the theme parks.

Please note, however, that the batteries inside MagicBands usually last for about two years, so if you have had yours for longer they may not be working anymore. In this case, I highly recommend stopping by the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs or any Will Call ticket window at all four theme parks with a government issued ID (passport) before visiting the first park. You will be able to check if your MagicBands are still working and retrieve ticket cards in case they are needed.

Since MagicBands are not shipped internationally and if you are unsure that yours are still working, you may also purchase new bands immediately upon arriving at Orlando International Airport. Simply stop by Disney’s Ear Port in Terminal A or visit the reimagined Magic of Disney store in Terminal B to choose your favorite MagicBands and link them to your Disney account before visiting the theme parks and water parks.

Thank you for sending your question our way, Ahlia! I hope this helps you while planning and that you stop by real soon as you plan your visit.

    Best magical wishes,
