Hiya, Rebecca!
Welcome to planDisney. It's always twice as nice when I get to chat with a Disney Vacation Club Member
and a fellow Buckeye, so I'm glad you dropped by! If you ask me, the only thing better than one Disney Vacation Club contract is two contracts –– congratulations! Since I'm sure you're ready to
put those new Vacation Points to good use, let me share a few details about your Use Year to help you along the way.
Since your December Use Year doesn't begin until the end of the calendar year, I'm sure it can get a little confusing, but I'm happy to help you clear things up. If your new Vacation Points are for the
2022 Use Year, you'll be able to use those Points from December 2022 through December 2023 –– any Points from that haven't been banked will expire on December 31, 2023. However, if you have Points from your new contract to use for the
current Use Year, those would actually be Vacation Points from 2021. If this is the case, those Points will expire on December 31, 2022.
If you're unsure about how many Points you have available for a given Use Year, I think the easiest way to check your Points balance is by using the
Member Dashboard on the Disney Vacation Club website. After logging into your Disney Account, hover over the "My DVC" tab in the top menu and select "My Dashboard" from the drop-down menu. In the "Vacation Points" section on the left side, you'll see how many Points you have available for the next four Use Years, as well as the number of Points you have in Holding (if any). For each year you see listed, those Points will become available on December 1st of that calendar and will expire on December 31st of the following calendar year.
Thanks for visiting planDisney, Rebecca. I hope this helped to answer your question and I'm wishing you many years of Membership magic with your new Vacation Points!
Happy Planning,
Amy
