Greetings, Sharlene, and welcome to planDisney! If I understand correctly, you are a Magic Key holder who wants to get a pass for your son. I'm happy to help!
Your options for purchasing a
Magic Key pass for your son depend on his age and which passes are on sale to the general public. If he's age three or older, you can
purchase a Magic Key for him online, choosing from the available pass types. At the time of writing this, the
Inspire and
Believe Key annual passes are on sale while supplies last.
If your son recently turned three, you can purchase a Magic Key pass for him within 60 days of his birthday at a Disneyland Resort ticket booth. Your son would need to be with you, and you'd need to bring an original copy of his birth certificate or passport for verification. Typically, he'd be set up with the same pass type as you.
This will be a fantastic year to be a Magic Key holder, Sharlene. In the first few months of 2026, we'll see
Lunar New Year festivities, the
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival, and the continued
70th Anniversary Celebration. I suggest following the
Disney Parks Blog and the
Disneyland Magic Key account on Instagram to watch for exciting announcements.
Make sure to also take advantage of the seasonal extras and experiences available to Magic Key holders. There may be complimentary keepsakes offered on a limited basis throughout the year – I have a cloth tote, poster, Mickey and Pluto pin, buttons, and other fun mementos around the house. You can visit the Magic Key Portal in the
Disneyland mobile app or the
"Extras Unlocked" page on the Disneyland website to stay in the know.
Sharlene, if you have any other questions, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Kriss
