Welcome to planDisney, Danny!
This is a great question. As someone who is more familiar with Walt Disney World Resort, I asked the same thing the first time I went to the Disneyland Resort.
Walt Disney World uses a system called My Disney Experience, which allows you to create a Family & Friends list. This is how you link people to your account. However, Disneyland uses a system called
My Disneyland. This system does not allow you to create a Family & Friends list.
So here's the question: how do you link friends and family members across different accounts? Here's what I do: I link everyone's tickets to my Disneyland account. Since I'm usually the main planner, this enables me to book everyone's Lightning Lane selections using
Disney Genie+.
To link the tickets is really simple. Open up your
Disneyland Mobile App and then tap the three horizontal lines on the bottom right. Then tap "Tickets and Passes" and then "Link Tickets & Passes." You'll then have two options: you can either scan the barcode of the tickets you want to link, or you can manually enter the ID numbers. Once you do that, the other tickets will be linked to your account. You'll then be able to make Lightning Lane selections for anyone who has Disney Genie+.
I hope that's helpful, Danny. Thanks for stopping by planDisney!
