How can I add the quick service dinning to my resort stay

Hey there, Hi there, Ho there, Debbie!

Welcome to planDisney, and excellent question. As a foodie myself, I’ll be happy to help answer your question.

My family loves the Dining Plans available at Walt Disney World Resort. My husband even likes to splurge a little so that we can get the Disney Dining Plan and enjoy a few Table-Service meals. Those are his favorite, and our kids love them even more when we book those reservations as Character Meals. Dining is just a huge part of our vacation so we usually plan on including it in our vacation package.

Debbie, to add a dining plan to your existing reservation, you will have to book a vacation package. You’ll be able to make the changes to an existing reservation by visiting “My Plans” on your My Disney Experience account and upgrading to a Disney Resort Hotel Package. If you are unable to complete those changes online then I recommend giving the Walt Disney World Resort a call. Calling the Walt Disney World Resort is my go-to option. The Cast Member you speak with will be able to go over package prices and options with you. It makes it so much easier to have them guide you through the addition and as simple as a wave of the wand, your dining plan will then be visible on your My Disney Experience account. After that, all that is left to do is plan out your meals!

My must-enjoy Quick-Service meal is the Baked Macaroni & Cheese with Pulled Pork from Flame Tree Barbecue. It’s so delicious just talking about it has me looking at a calendar and trying to plan my next visit. My daughter and I usually split our meals so that we can sample different menu items. She’ll pick her top choice, and I select mine, and we split and share. Her go-to at Flame Tree Barbeque is the Baked Chicken Drumstick. Even though she still eats off the Kids’ menu, we end up sharing her fries in exchange for my macaroni, so it works out perfectly. Plus, we try not to overstuff ourselves to save room for our snack credit. Our snack credit usually ends up being some sort of sweet treat and maybe even Mickey-shaped.

Sorry for getting carried away with my personal favorite. I’m telling you, I just love dining at Disney. I hope that you too can enjoy it as much as I do. Have a great visit and please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help you prepare.

    Enjoy,

    Shantel

When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for!
