How do I add a person to my party

Welcome to planDisney, Kathleen. We're so glad you stopped by to share this question with us. It sounds like a visit to the Disneyland Resort is in the works and I'm delighted to help.

When it comes to magical visits, the more the merrier, I say and I'm just thrilled to help you add more people to your Disney day. While the Disneyland app does not have a Friends & Family List feature (like there is in the My Disney Experience App for the Walt Disney World Resort), you can still link someone's ticket to your Disney account. To do this, you will open the Disneyland app and tap on the "☰" to open the menu followed by tapping the "Tickets and Passes" tile. Next, tap on the "+" in the upper right corner and then "Link Tickets & Passes." Here you can type in the ticket ID number or use the "Camera" feature to quickly scan the ticket barcode. Voila! The ticket is now linked to your account.

There are some differences in the Disneyland app and you won't be able to share any plans for your stay (hotel reservations, dining reservations, etc.). However, you will be able to make Lightning Lane selections for anyone whose ticket is linked to your account when using Disney Genie+ Service

If you're looking to add someone to your party for a dining reservation, that's easy peasy too. You can try to rebook your dining reservation to account for the extra people who will be joining you, or you will have the option to add another person to your reservation when you check in for your reservation in the Disneyland app. The Cast Members will do their very best to accommodate the extra person and I've had better luck doing this with smaller parties (typically under five people).

I'm super excited about your upcoming visit. If you're visiting before the end of the year, you will get to experience all of the merriment of the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort. A can't-miss attraction is "it's a small world" Holiday. Nothing gets me in the jingle bell spirit faster than taking this merry cruise around the world. There are so many delicious seasonal eats and treats around the resort too. If you haven't already, be sure to check out the Foodie Guide and make a list (and check it twice) of all your must-try treats. The Mickey Gingerbread is a seasonal staple and something that I look forward to every year.

Kathleen, I'm not sure if this covers your question, but I hope I was able to share some helpful information. If not, come back to see us and let us know. Here's wishing you a magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth.
