Hi Sally,
Welcome to planDisney! I’m so glad you stopped by with your question. One of my favorite things at Walt Disney World is exploring the incredible dining options throughout the parks and Disney Resorts Collection hotels. As someone who enjoys traveling the world (and yes, the World Showcase counts!), I’m continually amazed at the authentic and delicious cuisine Disney has to offer.
Adding one person to your dining reservation is something worth exploring! Start by checking the My Disney Experience app or visiting the Walt Disney World website. In the app, tap the menu icon and scroll down to "Future Plans" to locate your reservation. On the website, log into your MyDisney account, hover over “My Disney Experience,” and select “My Plans.” Scroll to the "Daily Itinerary" section to find your reservation. Once you have navigated to your reservation, you can try to modify the reservation to include an additional Guest. If you don’t see availability immediately, don’t worry, keep checking as your trip approaches. Many Guests adjust their plans, and availability often opens up closer to the reservation date, especially about 24 hours in advance when most cancellation fees apply.
If you’re still unable to add a Guest, try using the mobile check-in feature for your reservation through the My Disney Experience app. You may be able to request an extra spot at that time. Finally, if those options don’t work, visit the restaurant in person early in your vacation and speak with a Cast Member directly. Just be sure to do this before the cancellation window to avoid any penalties if adjustments can’t be made.
It sounds like you’ve done a fantastic job securing your Advance Dining Reservations, so if you’re looking for Quick-Service dining recommendations for other meals, here are a few popular options:
- Satu’li Canteen in Disney’s Animal Kingdom is a favorite for its customizable bowls and unique flavors.
- Columbia Harbour House in Magic Kingdom serves up hearty New England-inspired dishes like clam chowder and lobster rolls.
- Connections Eatery in EPCOT offers a variety of global-inspired dishes in a modern, airy setting. (Plus, there's coffee for the afternoon pick-me-up.)
I hope this helps answer your question, Sally! If you have any more questions or want recommendations for Quick-Service dining or my favorite snack spots, feel free to send another question my way. I’d be thrilled to share more of my favorites.
Bon appétit!
Brent
