Can you add a person to a cruise room after you have already booked.

    Hello, Wendy,

I believe that I'm in a similar situation. A family member isn't currently scheduled to join us on our next Disney Cruise. But we are holding out hope that things will change and they will be able to join us as we sail away with Captain Minnie and Captain Mickey.

It is often possible to add another passenger to an existing Disney Cruise Line reservation. If your cruise was booked with the help of a travel agent or through Disney Vacation Club Member Services, only those respective agents may work with Disney Cruise Line to make any significant modifications that may be desired or required, such as adding or removing passengers.

If you booked your Disney Cruise Line reservation yourself and your reservation is eligible for modifications, you may change your booking through the My Reservations page. Or you may call Disney Cruise Line during their regular operating hours.

There may be conditions or restrictions that have a bearing on whether you may add a new Guest to an existing Disney Cruise Line reservation. For safety related to lifeboat capacity emergency operations, each muster station has a limited number of passengers who may join it. If the muster station for your stateroom has already reached capacity, adding another passenger may not be allowed, even if your stateroom category happens to have additional capacity. Hopefully, this possible capacity limitation doesn't impact you. If you do add a new passenger to your stateroom, additional fares, fees, and taxes will be required and will normally be at the current prevailing rates for your stateroom category, which may be different than the rates at the time of your original booking.

Hopefully, you find a way to multiply the magic of your Disney Cruise Line vacation by adding a new passenger. Are there any other questions you have as you get ready to go "Where Magic Meets the Sea?" If so, we'd love to hear from you again here at planDisney. We love helping fellow cruisers make the most of your experience.

    Have a magical time, Wendy!
