Hello, Connie! Are you getting so excited? Your trip to the most magical place on earth is right around the corner. I am sure the countdown is on!
I just love the idea of the
Florida Resident Ticket that was being offered at the start of this year. It is really great deal! Connie, you can upgrade that ticket to include the
park hopper option, however, you can only add it for the entire length of the ticket. You are not able to only add the park hopper option to one day of your ticket. You can upgrade the ticket at any time, even after you've already used a portion of the ticket but you will stay have to pay the full price of the park hopper upgrade for the entire length of days on the ticket. So it's better to do this before you you've used any of your tickets to get the full value of what you are purchasing. Because of capacity limitations along with your Florida Resident Ticket you also need to make a
park pass reservation for the theme park you are visiting each day of your trip. This is basically just a virtual placeholder for you in line each day. To make your park pass reservations, simply link your tickets to your
MyDisneyExperience account and then visit the park pass reservation website. You'll be walked through the prompts of selecting your party, the date and the Walt Disney World Theme Park you wish to visit. Once those selections are made, you'll receive a confirmation and you are all set. You'll need to make a park pass reservation for each day you would like to visit the Walt Disney World Theme Parks.
If you do end up upgrading your tickets to include the park hopper option, I thought I would mention that it's looking a little bit different since its return at the start of the year. Guests who wish to park hop must have valid theme park admission with the park hopper option. Then you'll need to go ahead and make a park pass reservation for the first park you'll want to visit each day of your trip. You'll also need to scan in and visit the theme park with the park pass reservation first each day to activate your park hopper ticket. Park hopping hours are currently from 2:00 p.m. until each park closes in the evenings and Guests can park hop as many times as they'd like throughout the afternoon. You won't need to make any additional park pass reservations to park hop, after your initial one each day. Park hopping is subject to capacity limitations at this time. Although, I've been park hopping for a little over 2 months now and have not had any issues with that at all.
Connie, I hope this helps you make a decision on whether you should upgrade your entire ticket to include park hopping or not. If you have any other questions before your trip, I'd love for you to come back and
ask me. Have fun!
