Hey there Steven,
Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for your question! It looks like your trip to the Disneyland Resort will be here in just a couple of weeks - have you started counting down the days?
The
Park Hopper option can typically be added to most tickets for an additional cost. Personally, I've had to do this on a few occasions for trips in the past where we didn't think we would be able to utilize this option, but then changed our minds.
To get it added on, you'll need to
call a Cast Member at the Tickets line. They'll be able to see the specific details of your situation and let you know what your options might be. In the event that your tickets are eligible for the Park Hopper then they'll walk you through the steps of how to do that.
Even with this feature added, keep in mind you will still need
theme park reservations, which determines the park you start your day in, but then will be able to hop between the parks starting at 11:00 AM - subject to park capacity.
My family and I are planning a trip this summer and have the Park Hopper option. It's always tough to decide which park to start your day in! Typically, we start in
Disneyland Park on the first day of our trip because there's nothing better to signal to your brain that you're officially in the Happiest Place on Earth than walking down Main Street, U.S.A. However, we also love starting our day in
Disney California Adventure Park specifically to get breakfast at
Pym Test Kitchen and look out for super heroes as they pass by.
Thanks again for your question, Steven! I hope you have a wonderful time on your upcoming trip to the Happiest Place on Earth.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
