Hi Brittany! Welcome to planDisney! With your April arrival, you'll be able to take part in the
Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration spanning all four theme parks. There are new nighttime spectaculars to be seen, new treats and snacks to be eaten, and wonderful new exhibits to enjoy!
One of the best ways to ensure you have the flexibility to see it all is by utilizing the
Park Hopper Option. You get the benefit of starting your day riding on the back of a mountain banshee on
Avatar Flight of Passage and then close it out in a fight against the First Order on
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. It's also great to have if you are staying at an
EPCOT Resort area hotel or a
Magic Kingdom Resort area hotel, which are both within walking distance to a park. It's nice to have the option to close out your night by quickly walking over to grab a quick treat at the
Main Street Confectionary or a snack at a festival booth.
Disney does require you to add on the Park Hopper Option for your entire length of stay, so will not be able to only add on to just one of your park days. I would suggest researching how much the additional amount would be as you may be pleasantly surprised what the total add-on cost ends up being. My family has decided against using Park Hopper on a few occasions because we felt it did not fit our schedule the right way. Some trips are best taking things slow and enjoying your day in just one park.
Brittany, you can absolutely add another park day to your trip. You may be able to take care of this using your
My Disney Experience account and selecting "Tickets and Passes". Here you should see an option to "Change Ticket". If My Disney Experience is giving you any issues, your next option is to call the
Walt Disney Resort Existing Ticket Line and speak to a Cast Member. The Cast Member will be able to assist in this request.
Have a magical time on your upcoming visit! If you have any more questions prior to your arrival, come back and see us at

See ya real soon!
