Hi Felicia,
Thanks for visiting planDisney! Using gift cards is a great way to stay on budget in the parks. I love that you can add your gift cards to your phone's mobile wallet. I’d be happy to provide some tips for using a digital Disney Gift Card!
If you have multiple Disney Gift Cards, I recommend visiting the
Disney Gift Card website. Simply log in with your My Disney Experience profile, and you’ll be able to manage up to six cards and transfer balances between them. Each Disney Gift Card can hold up to $1,000. That’s a lot of Mickey ears!
Every time you make a purchase in the parks, the updated balance on your gift card will appear at the bottom of your receipt. You can make a note on your phone of the updated balance or, if your app allows, update the balance in your mobile wallet app.
Keep in mind that if you're planning to use
Mobile Ordering for food or
Mobile Checkout in select stores, the
Disneyland app doesn’t currently allow gift cards to be saved as a payment method. A helpful workaround is saving the card number in your Notes app. That way, you can easily copy and paste it when making purchases.
If, for any reason, you're unable to add your eGift Card to your wallet, rest assured that the Disneyland Resort is keeping up with the times and does accept cashless payments. You can use your preferred mobile pay option (Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, or Google Wallet) to pay for items in stores, meals at restaurants, and even snacks at the carts.
I hope this information is helpful, Felicia! If you have more questions or need help planning any other part of your visit, feel free to reach out to me or one of my fellow planDisney panelists. We’d love to share more tips and sprinkle a little pixie dust on your vacation.
Happy spending!
