Aloha, Jacquelyn! Mahalo for visiting the planDisney ‘ohana with your questions. There’s nothing better than planning a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth and you have just a few more sleeps before you ride that wave of magic!
I can completely relate to wanting to extend your time at the
Disneyland Resort. I am never ready to leave when my trip comes to an end. Maybe it’s the cheerful ambiance, or the thrilling
attractions, or the engaging
entertainment, or the tasty Mickey-shaped snacks or all of the above!
Jacquelyn, let me provide you with some information about how
ticket upgrades and
theme park reservations work. If you are looking to add days to your current ticket, you can upgrade your ticket in person at the Disneyland Main Entrance Ticket Booth, subject to availability of reservations. You would pay the difference in price for the new ticket. In checking the
Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar, I am currently seeing availability on and around January 14, your arrival date. The availability can change quickly, but at the moment it looks available for both One Park Per Day tickets as well as Park Hopper tickets. Currently ticket upgrades cannot be done online or over the phone, so please plan on pursuing the ticket upgrade once you arrive.
I’m so excited to hear you are interested in adding
Disney Genie+. On my recent trip it really enhanced our vacation, as we dashed through the Lightning Lane queues, reducing our wait times significantly.
Disney Genie+ can only be added once you have entered the theme park, so have your
Disneyland mobile app ready to go as you make your way through the turnstile. Within the app, you can click on “My Genie Day” where you will see a link to purchase the service. Did you know that in addition to the speedy Lightning Lanes,
Disney Genie+ also gives you access to
Disney PhotoPass, through which you can get unlimited digital downloads from your magical day!
Jacquelyn, the magic (and Mickey-shaped treats) are calling! Have the most amazing vacation!
