Kristen, you're arriving during the spookiest time of year, when grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize -
Halloween Time! The park will be decorated, the characters will be wearing their spooky costumes, and, oh, the treats!
Disney Parks Blog always has the hottest Disney news, and will definitely release a Foodie Guide at the beginning of Halloween Time to scope out all the excellent sweets.
I’d also consider attending
Oogie Boogie Bash, since there are several dates offered close to your arrival. This is an after-hours, ticketed event that features a lot of fun entertainment, treat trails for candy, and exclusive character interactions. My favorites have been Ernesto de la Cruz, Judge Doom, and Hades. Also, the Headless Horseman usually kicks off the Frightfully Fun Parade and is a fan favorite.
