Hiya, Rosemary!
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for stopping by with your question. How exciting that you are planning an upcoming stay at a Disney Resort Hotel. Soon, you'll be immersed in the magic of Disney from morning to night, as the Resorts are just as much a part of the Disney experience as the theme parks!
Rosemary, if you have booked your stay as a Member through
Disney Vacation Club, you can visit the DVC website and log into your account. Scroll to the tab that says "My DVC" and click on "My Dashboard." Scroll down to where it says "My Vacation Plans" and next to the date of your reservation, click on the arrow and another area opens up. From here, select "View or Modify Details" and this is where you can add names to your
Disney Vacation Club Resort reservation.
If you have any trouble with this, you can contact
Member Services. Sometimes, they have to do a little magic behind the scenes to be able to add all of the Guests in your party to your reservation, as I recently experienced. But don't worry - they are like Fairy Godparents who are all knowing and with the wave of their wand, they make your dreams come true!
Now, Rosemary, if your reservation was booked through the
Walt Disney World website, you can add Guests to your Resort reservation by first logging into your My Disney Experience account. Once you have navigated to "My Plans," find your Resort reservation and select "Modify Reservation." From here, follow the prompts to add the Guests' names onto your reservation. If you run into any trouble, you can also call
Existing Reservations to have a friendly cast member make the changes for you.
One other important thing to do, Rosemary, is to make sure you are connected with all of the Guests in your party via your Family and Friends account. To add Guests to your "Family and Friends" list, you need to be logged into your My Disney Experience account and scroll down to
"My Family and Friends." Click "Add a Guest" and then if they have an existing account, you can enter each Guest's name, age, and email address to send an invitation. If they don't have an existing account, you can invite them to set up an account if they are over 18, and there are options to create an account for Guests under age 18. Once the account is created or the Guest accepts your invitation, it will be super easy to add them to your reservation.
If the Guests are already connected to you through your Family and Friends list, it should be very easy to add them to your Resort reservation. In this case, you should be able to add them in the "Modify My Reservation" step.
I hope this helps you, Rosemary! If you have any further Disney planning questions, stop back here to see me and I'll be so happy to help you.
Magically Yours,
Keri
