Do I have to add my 11 month old to my upcoming Disney visit, if so how??

Hi there, Andrea! Welcome to planDisney, where we are happy to answer all of your Disney vacation questions!

Your vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort is almost here! There will be so much to see and do during your upcoming trip for everyone, including your 11-month-old! Walt Disney himself wanted his parks to be places the whole family could visit and enjoy and therefore, there are many things for even the littlest of Guests to experience. Some of my favorite attractions that the whole family can enjoy are Under the Sea - Journey of the Little Mermaid at Magic Kingdom Park, The Seas with Nemo & Friends at EPCOT, and Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway at Disney's Hollywood Studios. And if there's ever a ride that you want to go on but has a height requirement that restricts your little one from riding, you can always take advantage of Rider Switch! If you want to know more about attractions for little ones, check out this guide featuring my friend LeAndra. It's very helpful!

While Guests under the age of 3 do not require theme park tickets or Theme Park Reservations, they must be added to your Disney Resorts Collection Hotel reservation and any advanced dining reservations that you make. Please note that when making changes to your resort reservation under 30 days of arrival, there may be a change fee that is assessed. Because of this, it may be better for you to contact the resort directly and explain the situation to a friendly Cast Member.

If you'd like to make the changes yourself, it's pretty easy to do! To add them to your hotel reservation, you'd first need to add them to your My Family & Friends list. To do this, simply log in to your My Disney Experience account on a computer and select "My Family & Friends" under the My Disney Experience menu. On this page, select "Add a Guest" and follow the prompts. Once that's complete, click on "My Plans" under the My Disney Experience menu, scroll down until you see your resort reservation, and click on "Modify Reservation." On the next page, you should see a change link next to your travel party. This is where you'll add your little one to your reservation. To add your infant to advanced dining reservations, find the reservation, click "Change Reservation," and update the party size.

Andrea, I hope you have a magical vacation at the resort. Please reach out again if you have any other questions!

    Never grow up,
    Matt
