    How can I add money to my magic band? Cash? Credit card? I am not staying at a Disney resort. Thanks!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Ouma!

    MagicBands really do make you feel immersed in the magic of Walt Disney World, don’t they?! There is a common misconception that Guests can load their MagicBands with money or attach a credit card to allow charges, but the way it works is that Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel can have a credit card on file and then the charges are made “to the room” so to speak through the means of scanning the MagicBand to acquire the room number. That being said, if you are not staying at one of the Disney Resort hotels, there is no way to load it with an amount to spend.

    What I do suggest, is purchasing a Disney Gift Card and using it to make your purchases! During many festivals, such as the inaugural Epcot International Festival of the Arts,  special wearable Disney Gift Cards were sold, which were a convenient way to make purchases! I suggest asking a friendly Cast Member if they currently offer any during your magical vacation!
