Hi Nicole! Welcome to planDisney.
Oh, how I love this question! I have arranged quite a few "Disney surprises" for my Mouseketeers over the years, and it's so magical to see their faces light up. A few years ago, I arranged a special visit from the Easter Bunny to our Walt Disney World Resort hotel room - and just yesterday, we were watching a YouTube video about the resort and my son said "remember when we stayed there and the Easter Bunny actually came to our room?! That's Disney magic!" I had tears!
While
Disney Floral and Gifts is a fantastic option for arranging in-room celebrations and fun surprises, they are temporarily closed as part of the phased reopening of the Disneyland Resort. Never fear, though! I have some ideas for you!
First, it's worth looking online to see if there are small shops in the area that put together Disney-themed baskets. Be sure to carefully read reviews and delivery terms. You could also order from Amazon, Walmart, or another large grocery chain and have items delivered to your resort hotel. If you choose this option, note "Your Name - Guest" in the address line at checkout, and find the
resort hotel's address on its webpage (look on the right side under the map).
Another idea is to pack "Tinker Bell gifts." Stop by the dollar store to find Disney-themed treasures and gift bags, and, once your kiddos are out of the room or asleep, assemble them and leave the gifts at the foot of their bed or another prime spot. One year I stuffed plastic jack-o'-lanterns with glow sticks, stickers, candy, and other fun Disney-themed items.
There are so many ways to add pixie-dust to your Disneyland Resort vacation, and I hope these ideas have sparked your imagination. Have so much fun with your Mouseketeers, Nicole!
Wishing you much magic,
Robyn
