When you open up the
Disneyland app and tap the (≡), select the Lightning Lane Passes button. From there, you’ll have 3 options to choose from: Multi Pass, Single Pass, and Premier Pass. On my most recent visit, we purchased the
Multi Pass and are now a fully committed Lightning Lane family. I remember hearing my husband say that he won’t go back to standby lines again! With a toddler who’s finally able to ride those popular attractions, it’s a perfect way to beat the line and avoid the grumpiness that can often happen when waiting with a little one. We hope to use a
Single Pass on our next visit to ride Radiator Springs Racers since he’s a HUGE Lightning McQueen fan!
Once you’ve decided which type of Lightning Lane Pass you’d like to purchase, tap “Purchase” and follow the instructions. While you can purchase the passes ahead of your visit, you cannot make any Lightning Lane selections until after you’ve scanned into the park of your choice. This differs from Walt Disney World, where you can make selections in advance. At Disneyland, you’ll need to physically be in the park to begin making your selections in the Disneyland app.
