It looks like you are planning to kick off the New Year with a day at the Happiest Place on Earth! I can't think of anything more magical than to start the year covered in pixie dust. With so much to look forward to, I can understand wanting to get all of your Disneyland ducks in a row ahead of time so you can just sit back and let the excitement wash over you. Let's take a look at your question together.
It sounds like you are all set with theme park tickets and theme park reservations ahead of your New Year's visit - that's the first step, so you can check that off your to-do list! While you have the option to include
Lighting Lane Multi Pass at the time of purchase, you can also choose to add it ahead of time or once you have scanned into the Main Entrance Gates of either Disneyland or California Adventure. To add it ahead of your visit, head into the Disneyland App and tap the three-line icon in the bottom right-hand corner, selecting "My Tickets & Passes". From here, tap the "
Change Ticket" icon underneath the barcode. You will select the ticket(s) you are interested in upgrading on the next screen, and then be shown a few options available for changing your ticket. You can add park days, upgrade to a Park Hopper, and change the date of your reservation. To add Lightning Lane Multi Pass, scroll down to the "Add-Ons" section and select "Change Add-ons". The option to add it will pop up immediately. If you do not currently have a theme park reservation, this section will not be available to you, so make sure that's in place before trying to make the change.
If you prefer to wait until the day of your visit, when you open the app, the very first option you will see on the home screen is to purchase a Lightning Lane Multi Pass. Multi Pass is subject to availability, and while on a normal park day, you will generally have no issues waiting until the day of, during the holidays and spring break, I would encourage Guests to make that upgrade ahead of time to guarantee availability.

"it's a small world" Holiday! These special overlays are only available at Disneyland and make the holidays extra festive and bright! I recommend making time for "it's a small world" once the sun sets and staying to enjoy the
"it's a small world" Holiday Lightning, currently scheduled daily at 5:00 PM. It's quintessential Disneyland magic!
