Welcome to planDisney, Beverly! I'm so glad to be able to answer your question today. You're already ahead of the game by having your
proof of Florida residence ready to go, so let's chat about what you need to do next, and then how you can add
Lightning Lane access to your ticket!
Since you don't have a Florida-based photo ID and therefore can't complete the online verification process, you will need to provide proof of Florida residence in person. No worries, though! Just bring your valid homeowner's insurance policy or electric bill with your name and Florida address on it, along with a matching photo ID, and head to any
Guest Relations location. You'll find them outside all four Theme Parks and at
Disney Springs, so you can pop in on your way to a park. The process itself usually just takes a few minutes once you're speaking with a Cast Member, but the wait can vary depending on the time of day and how busy things are.
Now, about Lightning Lane access: You'll be happy to know that Lightning Lane selections can be made in the
My Disney Experience app starting 3 days in advance of your first ticket date, or 7 days in advance of your check-in if you're staying at a
Disney Resort Hotel. You won't add Lightning Lane to your cart when you're buying your ticket. Instead, it's something you'll purchase separately in the app once you're within your booking window. Just tap the "Purchase" button under "Lightning Lane Multi Pass/Single Pass" on the main page of the app, and it will walk you through everything step by step.
Once you're all set, your ticket will be activated and ready to use, and you'll be able to enjoy the magic with Lightning Lane access in hand!
Have a magical day, Beverly!
